Mrs.\u2009Mousumi Saha is a distinguished educationist and the visionary Founder Principal of National English School, Kolkata. With an academic foundation marked by an M.A. in English from Calcutta University, a B.Ed. from Scottish Church College, and an M.Ed. from Pailan College of Education, she is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Education, reflecting her lifelong commitment to learning. Mrs. Saha began her career as an English teacher in a government-aided school, demonstrating her grassroots dedication to education and her passion for shaping young minds.<\/p>

Under her dynamic leadership, National English School has evolved into a beacon of academic and co-curricular excellence. Driven by her belief in holistic and inclusive education, she led the establishment of the NES Rajarhat Branch in 2008, creating an institution that blends values with vision. Her mission to nurture quality educators inspired her to found the National College of Education in 2017, offering both B.Ed. and D.El.Ed. programs to train future mentors. In 2025, she further extended her educational vision by founding NES World School – CBSE curriculum, thus continuing her journey of creating impactful learning spaces.<\/p>

Beyond institutional leadership, Mrs. Saha has held several key positions under the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), including roles as Coordinating Convener and Zonal Convener. She currently serves as the Assistant Secretary of the Association of Schools for the Indian School Certificate (ASISC) for the West Bengal and North East States, underscoring her influence across the broader educational landscape. Additionally, she serves as a Secretary and a member of the Board of Directors of the West Bengal Association of Private Affiliated Schools (WBAPAS), underscoring her wide-reaching influence in the educational fraternity. Her leadership is known for fostering strong collaboration between mentors, parents and students, a hallmark that has led to consistent academic success.<\/p>

A recipient of numerous prestigious awards, Mrs. Saha was honoured with the Siksha Samman Award in 2025 by the ABP Group and Power Woman Award in 2018 by the Times Group, among other accolades from leading media houses. She has also presided over various CISCE and ASISC literary and sports events as Chief Guest and Guest of Honour, further underscoring her stature in the field of education. As the Chairperson of the NES Group of Institutions, she remains a dynamic motivator and a pillar of strength within the educational fraternity. Her personal commitment to aesthetics, fitness, and spirituality is reflected in regular school initiatives and workshops, reinforcing her belief that education must nurture both the mind and soul.
